Early in spring we harvest the pretty, pale purple flowers from the chive plant. The result of a long steep with vinegar is this beautiful color and deep flavor. Chive Blossom Vinegar is perfect for salads. Try a vinaigrette of one part vinegar, two parts sesame oil, a teaspoon of miso paste, and a pinch of salt and fresh cracked black pepper.

I love chive blossom vinegar. There is a wildcrafter in my area that has made it in the past, but she is not doing that anymore. I was so excited to see this offered by the seller on Etsy. Delicious. Gives my home grown greens a delicious hint of flavor! Just, salt, pepper, olive oil and this vinegar is all you need! Great price too. I loved it so much I kept one bottle and gave away two to share the love. I used to be a specialty food buyer and I wish they had this when I was making placements in the broad market. Bravo!
