This seasonal favorite is back! Early in spring we harvest the pretty, pale purple flowers from the chive plant. The result of a long steep with vinegar is this beautiful color and deep flavor. Chive Blossom Vinegar is perfect for salads. Try a vinaigrette of one part vinegar, two parts sesame oil, a teaspoon of miso paste, and a pinch of salt and fresh cracked black pepper.

Yum, I’ve been eating salads every day because of this vinegar!

Love this vinegar! I feel a bit guilty not supporting my local farms, but it’s so delicious! If you are the type who likes homemade vinaigrette’s or just acid and olive oil, then this chive vinegar will not disappoint. Though, it’s not to be confused with a fruit vinegar which are generally made with a different base and usually are diluted. (Speaking to the negative review re: acidity) It depends what you like. So if you are the type who just does a splash of vinegar or lemon 🍋 juice and olive oil, you will love this!

The taste is so delicate and refreshing. It’s a pleasant change from the standard red wine, balsamic and apple cider vinegars I usually get. It’s so good that I am taking it to restaurants to use on my salads in place of their premade dressings!
