Welcome to the B&P Purple Berry Project.
It all started when we learned about haskap, or honeyberry, via the University of Wisconsin Emerging Crops Program. One part of their program currently looks at "purple berries" as crops having numerous benefits to farmers, consumers, and the environment.
We connected with honeyberry growers and quickly after that, elderberry growers. We set forth to make commercial versions of honeyberry and elderberry jam. We're excited to support this new crop and the North American producers who grow them.
